Program Overview

Kern County partnered with the Farmworkers Institute of Education & Leadership Development (FIELD) and Bakersfield College Launchpad to offer this free, two-semester business foundations course for new or experienced immigrant entrepreneurs.

Participants will enhance their knowledge of key concepts in entrepreneurship, financial data analysis, risk management, and more while benefiting from the County’s Economic Development Division and Bakersfield College Launchpad’s resource network. Additional resources and support will be available in the form of one-on-one business consulting, business permitting navigation, resume writing, access to capital training, free non-credit courses on topics of interest with certificated of completion, and more.
